Two Ways To Heal And Nourish The Brain And Nervous System

In this article, I’d like to go over two powerful ways to help heal and nourish your brain and nervous system. Regardless of your condition, these practices can go a long way. They can essentially increase or balance your energy and kind of rebuild things in a way that can enhance your condition. Doing these might require you to shift and break a pattern, but bear with me.

The first practice involves meditation- silence and stillness. Many days we need time to process and a period of silence and stillness can help us do that. Just sitting and allowing whatever is there to come up without judgement offers some nourishment. I’ve found that if we take in a lot of information and don’t balance it with silence, we can get drained. There is a great book called Silence by Thich Nhat Hanh. He teaches about technology fasting and being in touch with the island of the self.

The second practice is good thoughts for others. Wishing for the best for yourself and other people- you can start small and then move outward. This practice can help break autopilot patterns and it can again- rebuild things in a good way. It’s a worthwhile practice. It can be a wish or prayer or an encouraging text message. As you probably know, we feel good when we do this.

So take some time away from technology and wish for the best for yourself and others. Then feel your body thanking you. Wishing you strength and health!
