Two Methods For Strengthening Energy

There are a lot of different ways you can work on healing and changing your energy. If you feel low energy a lot, have had burnout, or different challenges due to trauma, these two methods can help you in many ways. Feel them out and just see if it fits- you might notice small shifts in overall energy over the course of a week or longer. But those small shifts, noted and felt, can lead to more over time.

The first method is using dynamic meditation. Dynamic, meaning moving- any meditation that you are moving while you do it. Walking meditation, where you feel and practice presence while mindfully walking. Thich Nhat Hanh taught a lot about this type of meditation. Body tapping, something I’ve been using for a long time helps with body awareness and keeping mind within. These both can help with calming as well. Other ways of dynamic meditation can include exercise, any way you get into flow and presence. Even a rowing machine at the gym- people get in a good rhythm with that.

The second method involves awareness of the noise and information taken in during the day. Just noticing what you’re taking in- technology, screens, conversation, reading, etc. A lot of information. Thich Nhat Hanh wrote a book called “Silence” and he talks about how many of us fast for religious reasons or health reasons- but technology fasting is very beneficial and important. I have benefitted a lot of from this practice- even building awareness around how much technology is used, and shifting to something else- your energy will shift. So take note of how much noise and info comes in throughout the day- and also the quality. Is it a book that’s helping you work on something or that’s inspiring? Is it classical music that’s more calming? Or is it just distraction and noise, or negative overall? Great questions to ask.

So between these two practices, you’ll notice shifts in energy and healing. It’s always step by step and taking note and seeing what works. And of course, aside from these, things like getting into nature, Nutrition and Nutritional Healing are so helpful to understand.
