In this article I’m going to go share some ideas I’ve found interesting/helpful regarding pulling back and just noting- what we tune into. Recognizing that what we tune into affects our energy and that we can choose, even making little changes at a time and notice an energy difference.
A teacher of mine recently shared with me some wisdom and she touched on how important it is to tune to positive things. I thought about this and realized- if you have 10 minutes and you can either tune into the news, or an amazing view of nature or a sunset. Feel it out, how would you feel, how would your energy change based on the choice?
You might go through the day and take note of where you tuned into- was it sounds, radio, screens, conversation? And then just ask, was it replenishing/helpful? or did it drain?
Here are some ideas of ways to support your energy
- As I mentioned before. Nature. Truly tune into it for a while. Observe the trees, the sound of the birds, the wind, the earth. This is a replenishing practice.
- A book: A book that is inspiring or uplifting or showing you something cool and interesting. This can be a way to tune into something that replenishes you instead of a screen. Some books I’ve found helpful to uplift are great ones I’ve read based on Buddhism or self development- but of course there are so many to choose from.
- A conversation: If you initiate a conversation around something that’s interesting and kind of outside the box- you’ll find it can be so replenishing. Sharing ideas in a fun open way allows that flow that makes us feel uplifted.
There are many other things to tune into that can support our energy. These are just some examples. But feel it out and just ask yourself- if this helpful to “tune into” and realize you can shift it.
Wishing you health and strength.
