I had a great conversation at a nutrition store about the power of herbs. The basis of it was- there is an herb that can help heal any ailment someone might have. It makes sense that nature has everything we need. Eating nutritious foods and incorporating herbs/superfoods can drastically improve your energy and help you rejuvenate in a major way.

When it comes to nutrition- as a basic guideline, choose natural foods only. No processed carbohydrates and things like bread and pasta. No sugar. This alone can shift a lot in favor healing and feeling stronger. And if you feel like you need some extra assistance after that’s in place- here is some information on herbs.

Here are some herbs and superfoods I’ve used, researched and found helpful. There are many benefits to them that might not be listed so feel free to do some research. I am not a certified herbalist or naturopath, so speak with a professional before adding anything to your diet.

Schisandra- calming for the nervous system, good for digestion, cognition, vitality.

Reishi Mushroom- enlivens the spirit and relaxing the system for healing.

Lion’s Mane Mushroom- for focus.

Chaga Mushroom- immune system booster.

Myrrh- reducing inflammation, possibly immune booster.

Turmeric- Reduces inflammation. Helps with brain healing.

Ashwaghanda- Very helpful for rejuvenating and building energy.

Theanine- Found in green tea- it has a calming effect on the nervous system.

Passion Flower- an herb used for reducing anxiety/calming.

Licorice- rejuvenation for adrenals. Anti Cancer.

Also- Roots burdock and dandelion can be great for grounding.

Holy Basil- An adaptogen, helping your system adapt to stress, and anti oxidant.

That’s it for now. Take care and wishing you health and strength!
