I hope you’re having a great day.
GRATITUDE
The power of gratitude is amazing. It can literally shift your energy in a matter of seconds. If we make it a regular practice it can be a healing and rejuvenating process we can utilize at any time.
The interesting thing is that you can practice gratitude, starting from one very simple idea. “I feel grateful for work and the people I know.” Just like anything else, you focus on that, feel it, and other ideas come to mind automatically. It’s like dots connecting within us. Then you realize you are feeling gratitude for many things, big or small that you may have forgotten about or not thought much of. So it deepens.
Keeping a gratitude journal can strengthen the practice. And writing out, and really feeling, wins for the day. Taking note and giving yourself good feedback for things you accomplished- even simple things- reminding yourself “great work”, can enhance your mood and energy- and motivation.
One amazing Buddhist proverb that I reflect on is called “The Precious Human Life”. It says that the chances of incarnating as a human (and having the ability to reflect, learn and grow), is extremely rare. It’s as rare as a blind turtle popping it’s head up for air and going through a ring in the ocean- the only ring in the entire ocean. That’s how rare it is- feel gratitude in that and build from there.
You are great as you are and a work in progress.
Thank you for reading.
Wishing you health and strength.
