Morning Walk And Restorative Movement

Make today a great day- I hope you’re practicing some Gratitude and have some things to look forward to!

Taking time in the morning to center and focus is a great practice. To create space for yourself especially in the morning can change your day in a big way. It helps us tap into purpose and power. Let’s get into it…

Morning Silence And Meditation

Before taking in any noise in your day, you can practice some silence- this might mean prayer, meditation, writing out goals, or walking/walking meditation. It’s giving yourself time and attention. Especially before the sun comes up and seeing it come up- there’s something powerful about that.

Morning walking is a great practice for a number of reasons:

  1. It’s great overall for health, whole body/cardio… it’s movement. Energy and Chi flow!
  2. As we move, we are processing on all levels. This means you might practice walking and recognize you’re untangling things and finding solutions or good ideas without even trying.
  3. It gives you space to just be- to clear out, feel inspired, feel focused.

Just Awareness

As you walk you can just be present. Aware of feet on the Earth, the Chi as you breathe in fresh air, the bird, the trees, sky, etc. This is all meditative. It’s a practice and it’s rejuvenating. Just awareness. It’s a great time to really tune into and practice GRATITUDE (Gifts Really Are There, It’s Truly an Understanding and Daily Expression).

And practicing in the morning is creating space for yourself. Many people use this time for visualizing and de-ciding what steps to take and changes to make. If you get up, turn on noise, eat and leave- a practice of morning routine, silence, and walking can change a lot for you.

Some Ideas On Rejuvenative Movement

Walking is considered restorative movement. Just because it’s lower intensity and more “Yin” or some would say soft exercise. It’s great for us in many ways and especially when we are working on healing/rejuvenation. At times you might feel your body calling for more rejuvenative movements- other times more intense. All are great…. at the foundation it’s listening to your body.

So get some walking in this morning– tune into your breath, your feet supported by the Earth, the Chi in the air, the nature sounds as well as silence. Start there and see the benefits that come from it.

I hope you get a lot of value from that and it helps you in a big way- maybe helps you shake things up, make some changes and tap into your power. Make the day great, take a step and celebrate it.
