Allowing Emotion To Flow And Change

Try turning worry or fear into Faith and Courage today.

It’s interesting that the root of the word “worry” actually comes from “strangle or to cause distress”. So it actually drains and constricts or blocks us and others. Drain and blocks are two of the root causes of our pain…

By letting it go or letting it change to faith and courage, you can open up space and take just one meaningful step. Instead of worrying just say- I can have faith and then ask- “what is the remedy or next step?” Then sit for a while. I heard a great teacher say something along the lines of “confusion is a gift from G-d- …sit, wait. The information will become clear. The confusion is there to guide you.”

Many times just by letting it go or sitting with it the con-fusion untangles.

Your Potential

Also realize worrying blocks us from appreciating and tapping into our true potential- which I believe is boundless. Really it’s just conditioning and different beliefs we may have picked up that block it. The example is what if Mozart was making music and someone said to him “Im worried, you should just go work at the mill?” And he did and took that on… (Just an example)… He would have allowed worry to pull him from his gift. Pretty wild- so practice breathing into worry or fear and allowing some space- maybe faith or courage appears.

The Organ System In Eastern Tradition

In Eastern Tradition we learn that each organ is associated with an emotion- worry is associated with the Spleen and fear/courage is connected to the Kidneys. All that means is that what we choose for food, our hydration, movement, quiet time and rest, nature time, etc- all of that affects us as a whole of course and can strengthen those organs which can help the emotions flow through. And since nutrition affects us overall, especially with emotions- Here is some of my Nutrition poetry: Let some chi flow, get Aminos- No alcohol or vino- No junkfood like cheetos or doritos or fritos- leave it all alone, more greens though.

Of course letting an emotion like worry become faith and courage is a daily practice and a little improvement is a big victory- give yourself a pat on the back for everything and especially ever small or big step.
