Buddhist Book: Radical Acceptance Review

Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach. If you meditate and want to learn more, this is a great book for you. A lot of Buddhist text will teach this- feeling within and allowing whatever is there to be there without reacting or judgement. This involves practicing and noticing when you want to distract from difficult emotion- tv, computer, substances etc. Practicing just feeling and seeing what comes up with compassion is very powerful. It’ll help you cultivate space and capacity within which is healing. This also untangles internal knots.

Overall the book is very good. It’s filled with good information and some stories to illustrate the points. I found it helpful to learn and practice the difference between rigid, over analyzing, and spacious, letting go. Shifting into spaciousness can give you energy and help you build capacity.

How this helps with rejuvenation: I believe the practice of feeling those things we usually distract from, frees up energy. You’re no longer blocking or building a wall around something- which is draining.

Wishing you health and strength!
