A Way Of Working Through Depression

I heard a great teacher once say- “If you feel low, don’t say ‘I’m depressed’, say ‘I have low energy'” and THEN activate it.

Here is something I’ve found helpful for working through difficulty. The idea is this- when energy is abundant and flowing, you usually feel good. When it’s blocked or low, you don’t.

DIET: Improving your energy with diet can make a huge difference. It can strengthen chi- Life Force energy. Just note- are you eating processed foods? Substances? Sugar? Those are dead substances. Let some of those go for a few days and replace them with fruits and vegetables, herbs, superfoods and/or medicinal mushrooms. Feel it out- how did that change your energy?

FOCUS: The second part of this method is to note where your focus is going. It can be easy to focus on things that are energy depleting. News, tv, violence, etc. Shift the focus to something that makes you feel more at ease. Look at nature, feel it, think of the wonder of the intelligence of nature. Then note something you’re grateful for. This shift in focus will improve your mood and lift some layers.

By doing these things, it’ll help you activate your energy and feel stronger and replenished.
